Vera gave a garbled woof in reply with a grin on her face. But then suddenly her ears twitched as she heard a croaking sound. It wasn't exactly high pitched like those odd-tasting prey frogs she would sometimes catch during the warmer times, but much deeper, like it was coming from a much bigger frog.
Dragon tilted her head at Vera before she looked behind her to find a huge green and brown frog just sitting there, watching them with a blank stare. It croaked again and continued blankly staring in their direction, almost as if it wasn't even paying attention to the fact that there was a shire horse sized wolf and a much smaller one in the same den as it.
Dragon stared at it before subconsciously she took out a storage cube and chucked it so that it would land next to the frog. Without much effort, the cube absorbed the frog into it.

Dragon stared at the spot where the frog had been for a few more moments. "Well then," Dragon said, not yet taking her eyes off of the spot. "Not gonna ask exactly how that got in here; not that it matters anyway."
She sighed before she stretched, flexing out the muscles in her body, before she got up and crawled over to the storage cube and picked it up. She put it away before she looked over at Vera. "Well then, should we start heading home now? It looks like the storm is over, and this may be the only chance we get for that."
Vera nodded in reply, but then she tilted her head and whimpered. Dragon smiled faintly. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine," she said. "I was just in need of some rest and warmth, that's all."

Vera watched her for a moment before she smiled back and nodded. Then she squeezed through the den opening, with Dragon crawling out from behind her.
The whole area was covered in a rather thick blanket of snow, and the sun's rays were being reflected off of it. "Gah, it's so bright out here..." Dragon hissed, shading her eyes with one of her paws as she squinted, trying to see the landscape through the glare, but not with a lot of luck. Vera tilted her head in Dragon's general direction but then looked back over the land. Her eyeball wasn't out, so she wasn't effected at all by the blinding rays of the morning sun.
Vera yawned, the full length of her tongue stretching out and curling into a spiral to let air into her lungs. It was cold still, but the sun felt warm against her black fur.

But then suddenly Vera heard a rather loud moan from behind, and she turned her head to see that her alpha had collapsed into the snow.
Dragon groaned again, her tongue lying limply outside of the side of her mouth, and her face giving the expression one would have if they had been sick to their stomach or had just thrown up, or had gotten drunk. Of course in her case, this was a result of the exact opposite.
"Please tell me we brought food with us..." she moaned melodramatically. Vera just silently looked at her before she bent her head to put a paw to her face. "Oh, dear god..." she groaned hoarsely, before she turned around and came back to Dragon. She nudged her gently.
"Noooo....Too hungry to move...." Dragon glanced at her. "Go find me something to eat or something...."
Vera flattened her ears as she scrunched up her face in frustration. Then, with an exasperated sigh, she walked back toward the den. There was nothing to eat here, nothing for her to go catch as prey. They really should get moving before another storm hits-
And simple glance over back at Dragon, and suddenly she had a brilliant idea. But boy, was she gonna get a lot of flack for it.... A wide grin spread on her face. Heh, oh well then. She spread her jaws wide open, and then.....
CRUNCH
"OUCH!" Dragon shrieked as she suddenly felt teeth in her tail. She barely even got the chance to look over her should to see who had done it because she was suddenly lifted right off of the snowy ground by the tail.
"VERA!"
