(OOC: I dunno quite how Dragon is going to fit into this XD I'm almost tempted to say have her already transformed and stumble into the clearing, and Wolf notices her once she's transformed... I dunno. Do what you want XD)
Wolf fiddled with her necklace as she stood in the clearing. Memories swirled around her almost like tangible things. Running together with Wolfpaw, their pups, the joy and freedom of a different form than the one she wore now.
Her father's anger. Sasha's nibble that had felt like a thousand white hot pokers had been stabbed into her. Her inability to change back, the collar, tight around her neck, forcing her to obey...
She moved her fingers over the featureless black metal faster, twirling the thing endlessly around and around her neck. Dare she go back? Dare she do something that could lead to such sorrow again, and so much happiness?
"You already know what the answer is to that." Came a small voice from where her Liger was perched above her left ear. "Why delay the inevitable?"
That was true. Kayne always had a way of voicing exactly what she needed to hear. With a deep breath, she let her hands fall from the ring of metal around her neck, and prepared to return to a state of being that she had promised herself she would never go back to.

This was ridiculous. So utterly ridiculous. Had something gone wrong? Or had she been away from the rest of the world for so long that she totally forgot what it feels like to be able to transform? Or was it just because there was just a serious size change in this transformation; going from something that would have been as tall as a wolf on all fours to something that stands to be as tall as a horse could make things much more different about the transformation. She knew it had been long enough since she had been something that size. Dragon was practically stumbling through the forest, tripping over even something as small as a little twig or a small stone. It made her look ridiculous and unprofessional; she was so glad that none of her Fieros could see how clumsy she was right now. Eventually she stumbled into a clearing, practically allowing herself to flop down onto the greener grass with a bigger thud than what she would have caused if she hadn't transformed. This was going to take a lot longer than she thought. (Word Count: 187) (Level 1; Because I assume even we start out a level 1 XD)

Wolf shivered uncontrollably as she felt the fur sprout and her bones rearrange themselves. She had gotten used to the feeling back in the forest, where she had spent more than half of her time as a Fiero. It had been a long, long time since she had transformed though. She watched her hand twist and grow paw pads, before closing her eyes. The process had never bothered her before, but somehow the sight of her transforming twisted her stomach. Closing her eyes only made the feeling of it heightened though, and she gasped at the changes as she felt them. They didn't hurt, they never had, and they had also never been unnerving like this. Maybe it was because of that necklace. As the fur grew and replaced her clothes, she could feel it tightening, until it wasn't a necklace anymore, but a collar. That same black collar from long ago. She shook her head as her ears crawled up the side of it, trying to shake the memories threatening to rise up away from her. Quite suddenly she couldn't stand on her hind legs anymore, and toppled forward, hitting the dirt. That had never happened before. She had always been able to land on her paws. She felt the last of the changes take place, her wings growing, and just lied there for a little bit, trying to make sense of her own body. Suddenly there was a loud thump, and her eyes flew open in panic. Even though she was much bigger and stronger in this form, she felt vulnerable, and she let out a yelp and curled in on herself. "Sta- stay back!" She stuttered out to the large blue form with the horns. The words sounded like nothing she had ever heard before, not a human's voice, and not a Fiero's barks (although it was quite close to the later). She could still understand it though. Dragon looked up to see a monochromatic Fiero curled up and shivering. However, she could tell right from the start that this was no ordinary monochromatic Fiero. In fact, she was not entirely monochrome. Her paws and tail were pastel rainbows, and she had feathered wings in the shape of rainbows. These were pastel rainbow as well.
Dragon could not help but stare at this Fiero for a moment, knowing somewhere that she had seen this Fiero somewhere before. Then it suddenly clicked in her head. "...Wolf?" the sound rolled from her forked tongue in a language like the one that the Fiero spoke in; not human, and not really Fiero either, but more close to Fiero than human.
She did not know if this was really a wise thing to do, but Dragon sat up slowly, trying to balance her new weight partly on her front paws and partly on her wing claws. She watch the Fiero still, waiting for a response.

Wolf cowered, not recognizing the other Fiero as her friend, or even as a Fiero for that matter. She had only gotten a glimpse of the horns, tail and wings, and as she was already a bit panicked from not being able to move properly in this form, her mind had jumped to the false conclusion that Dragon was a monster.
Then she talked, and knew her name... At first this only made Wolf even more scared, until she recognized the voice, and associated it with the colour blue...
Suddenly everything fell into place and had she still been human, she might have slapped herself for how stupid she was being. "Dragon?" She asked finally, uncurling herself a little bit to look up at the other Fiero.
Her body felt strange, like she didn't belong in it. Even the simple act of uncurling felt weird and strenuous. She didn't even know how she was going to be able to stand, let alone walk or run or leap about like she had used to. And flying? Forget flying. Her wings didn't feel right at all. It would have to be much, much later for that, if she didn't break the things by accident trying to stand up or something.

Dragon grinned faintly when she saw the other Fiero uncurl and speak her name. She nodded, but only once because otherwise she might have lost balance again from the change in weight distribution. "Yep, the one and only..." she said, smiling now.
Dragon sat there now, balancing her full weight partially on her seated rump and partially on her wing claws and forelegs. Part of her wanted to move a little closer to Wolf, but of course at the same time, she'd look like a total stumbling fool just making the attempt. Of course, this was probably Wolf's first transformation as well, so they were more than likely in the same boat. Dragon might have had a bit more of a grip on how it worked than her, since she was more used to transformations and such, but at the same time, perhaps not.
Still, she couldn't just sit there like a silent idiot. Plus, how would she get used to it if she didn't start moving? Dragon slowly began trying to stand up to see about walking over, but as soon as she started moving, her forelegs buckled under her and she faceplanted into the ground, her back end high in the air before that too fell to the ground behind her.
This was going to take awhile.

(OOC: Raaaaaaaaar. Long enough but not enough interaction. Hopefully that doesn't make it too hard for you to reply :/)
Wolf felt silly for having not made the connection sooner. Now that she was looking at her, and not just a quick glance, she could see that of course this was Dragon. The voice fit, and the form, although it was a little bit different than it had been back on Earth. That was to be expected though. Her own Fiero form had changed too, between the world of Fieros and Earth. She hadn't questioned it. Truthfully Wolf didn't really care how she looked, just as long as she could run...
That was what Wolf loved most about being a Fiero, being able to run endlessly. She felt so much closer to her Fiero friends when she was in the form she wore now, no matter how uncomfortable it was right now.
There was a small cough, a clearing of throat, and then a tiny Liger hopped onto her back, and quickly made his way to her ear. "Don't get caught up in it." He said. "You still have a long way to go you know, plus you're being rude to Dragon."
Wolf shook her head suddenly, trying to clear her mind, although the action made her dizzy. She couldn't remember her head feeling quite so much larger than she was used to. "This is ridiculous." She murmured. "I feel like a newborn deer or something."
She shook her head again, and turned to address Dragon, just in time to see her topple over face first onto the ground. Her instinct was to try and spring up to help her, but somehow she got one of her wings caught underneath her leg and tumbled less than gracefully back to the ground.

Dragon took a moment to straighten up her face from its impact from the fall, and then looked up at Wolf again, just in time to see her fall. She could not help but chuckle slightly, not in a mean way, but in an amused one, seeing that the two of them really were in the same position. "Looks like you're having problems too..." she said now, before she slowly started trying to stand up on her forelegs again.
Newborn deer was probably a good analogy, Dragon thought to herself as she once again tackled the challenge of trying to balance her full Fiero weight plus added wings and tail and horns. The problem with that though, is deer were could stand on their own hind legs and run and do stuff very soon after they're born, or at least, she was pretty sure. She knew that was correct for horses, cattle, and even giraffes, so it was safe to assume that it was true for deer. A newborn human baby would have probably been a better analogy.

Wolf let out a small whine in frustration as she tried to straighten up her limbs. "Yeah." She said to Dragon as she tried to lift her right front paw up high enough to bring the wing back to where it belonged. "I can't ever remember it being this difficult, not even when I first changed..." She abandoned the task for a few moments to look at Dragon with worried silver eyes, then the discomfort of her wing caught her attention again.
Truth be told, she was just the tiniest bit... not exactly glad, relieved, maybe, that Dragon was having troubles as well. If it wasn't just her, then she didn't need to feel embarrassed about it, or scared that her new body wasn't working the way it was meant to.
True to her personality, when faced with a problem, Wolf went into analysis mode, trying to think of anything that could have caused it. "The only thing I can think of," She said finally. "Is that the magic in this world may affect Fieros different than it does humans, and we aren't used to it yet." With a small, triumphant noise, she managed to free her trapped wing, and tried stretching it experimentally.
The shift in weight caused her to lean toward that side though, and slowly, without her quite realizing it, she tipped over until she fell on her side. "That's just my thoughts though." She said from the rather comedic position she was now in. With a sigh, she set about to trying to right herself, having trouble right now with just keeping balanced while sitting, let alone trying to stand.

Dragon, finally managing to balance herself at least a little bit as she now sat, nodded slowly, Wolf's explanation making perfect sense. "No matter how many times I would jump between forms on Earth and other places, I have never experienced such feelings of imbalance," she said. "Maybe when I first transformed, but I got used to it real quick. This, though...This I know is going to take awhile to get used to...We probably should work on being balanced while sitting, since that seems to be our current problem right now..."
Dragon looked around now, slowly still, so she wouldn't topple over from an imbalance. "It would definitely make sense if the magic worked itself differently on us and the Fieros, because then it wouldn't be messing with our phenotypes to get us into a somewhat perfect mix of multiple animal species in the first place..."
Dragon slowly turned her head to look in the other direction, dark brown eyes scanning the area around them. "God I hope nothing comes at us while we're stranded here..." she whispered now.

Wolf carefully stretched out her other wing, thinking that it might help balance her, like stretching out her arms had helped her as a child when she had first tried to skate. The ground might not have been ice, but it seemed to help as she slowly began to tip back up. She pushed up with the paws on her right side too, and managed to get into a shaky sit, granted she looked ridiculous with her wings fully extended the way she was.
Once she felt sort of alright with it, she turned back to Dragon. "I used to go from Fiero to human all the time and I can't remember ever having any balance problems." She said, tilting her head, and using one of her wings to make sure that simple movement didn't cause her to fall over again. "It felt... natural, before."
She nodded at her suggestion, and smiled a little. "Likely a good idea." Her voice of concern got a head tilt in the opposite direction, and a slight wobble as Wolf made the necessary wing adjustment. "I think all that's out here that's large enough are deer, and they usually stay away from Fieros. There's other Fieros too, of course, but we could likely jump back to human if they don't like us here, and they won't attack us that way."
Wolf was almost positive on that last point. The Fieros in this world had been domesticated, or came from domesticated Fieros, for so long that they naturally had respect for humans. "At least we can sit?" She offered. "With the way I was feeling, I was kind of afraid that even that would be out of my ability."

Dragon stayed gazing in one direction for a few moments before her own neck started to hurt. Then she slowly twisted it back to look at Wolf again. Both of them were in shaky sitting positions, but apparently Dragon was doing a better job at keeping balance than Wolf was. Then again, Dragon was using her wing claws for added support, so perhaps maybe not.
"Yeah, but there are those dragons and Possessed Ones too..." Dragon said now, which was more of what she was thinking of at the time. "They're probably pretty pissed at me for taking out three members of that little army they have..."
This was starting to get a little uncomfortable, sitting here. But Wolf was right. At least they could get themselves into a shaky sit with some added help from their wings. Dragon couldn't help but shift slightly, but this caused a bigger chain of reactions that she should have expected.
First, Dragon lost her balance, again. However, Dragon did not fall on her face this time. Instead, she more or less forced herself up, putting pressure on her legs to force her back up whenever she was leaning too hard on them. Her wings finally spread out again, making them look much bigger than they had been, and Dragon was now standing up with all four legs straddled out under her, her tail almost in a neat point behind her.
"Dear freaking god..." Dragon said now, breathing in and out deeply.

Dragon's words were like a splash of water in her face, waking her up from a dream. She had forgotten the true reason she had done this. It wasn't to feel the wonder and joy of being a Fiero again, it wasn't to feel closer to her pack or to soar once more on her rainbow wings. It was to join in the battle, to fight in the only way she knew how.
The thought caused a shiver to run through her that almost unbalanced her, but she stubbornly steadied herself with her wings. No more playing around. This was just another obstacle. There would be time to marvel at the fact that she was a Fiero later, after the threat of the dragons was finally gone.
She pulled herself out of her thoughts and gasped in awe as she saw that Dragon was standing. "Great job!" She said to her friend, and had to consciously keep her tail from wagging lest it unbalanced her. She was keeping herself steady by sheer force of will, a determination that she hadn't felt for a long time settling on her.
Slowly and carefully, she gathered her back legs under her and pushed up, pausing every so often to adjust her balance with her wings or tail, which she found was also quite useful. Finally, like Dragon, she too was standing, tail and wings both straight out and likely looking utterly rediculous, but she didn't care. Her four legs shook as she concentrated on staying upright.
She remained standing for a total of fourteen seconds before her two back legs gave out and she managed to collapse back into a sit. She grinned at Dragon though. They were making progress.

It took awhile for the adrenaline rush to finally settle out for Dragon to actually take a serious look as to what she had done. She was standing. Maybe not as perfectly as a normal Fiero, but hey, it was progress none the less. She carefully looked up at Wolf, who was gaping at her in awe and congratulating her, and she grinned faintly back at her. "Thanks..." she said now.
From her own straddled stance, she watched her friend do the same, but then collapsing back into a sit. Right then, Dragon's own stance collapsed, and she too forced herself back into a sitting position. She continued grinning at Wolf though. "Great job, Wolf..." she finally said back to her after she caught her breath. "We're certainly making progress, that is for sure."
Indeed it was, but they still had a good chunk of a ways to go. Dragon forced herself back up on her feet, this time daring herself not to use her wings for added balance. Her stance was wobbly, but relatively steady, if only for a minute or so. She had to sit back down again afterward.

Wolf panted heavily, catching her breath as her limbs shook and threatened to give out more than they already had. She couldn't keep herself from thinking how much different this was from before, how much more difficult than back when she was in the forest, or even on Earth. She was almost tempted to give up for a bit, lay her head down and rest, but the sight of Dragon trying again spurred her into action, and she forced her back half off of the ground again.
She was more wobbly than before, her limbs shaking and both her tail and wings straining to keep her balanced. She forced herself to stay up longer than before, but eventually her new body betrayed her and she fell, her four legs splaying out so she landed on her stomach.
"You seem to be doing better than me." She managed to get out, looking up at her friend. The words didn't have any negative tone to them though, they were a simple statement of fact.
Wolf lay there for a few minutes, until the trembling had subsided, and then she raised herself back up to a sit, resting her weight on her bottom half. She didn't even realize that she had gotten to the new position much quicker than before, or that the sit felt far more natural than it had.
