Her tail is swift as lightning, Fierrrrooo-her heart is brave and pure!" Salki sang happily, butchering the original song lyrics without a care as Bezzy pranced behind her. She was ready for training, already seeing her precious fiero with ribbons around her neck from shows or carrying the bounty from a fight, fur scuffed up but looking proud and victorious. It made her own tail puff out with the pride that would undoubtedly come with those victories. Rompecombezas stared at her owner, head tilted to the side, a little confused. When Salki had first mentioned 'training' to her, the day she woke up half-hanging out of her pup nest from her sudden growth, she had thought it sounded proper and official-serious...But now her owner was skipping along through the meadow being so happy and carefree-like. She looked around the area as they passed two smaller areas, seeming to be cut off by boundaries. She sniffed the air, smelling other mature fieros. A certain scent of excitement and nervousness lingered in the air. She tilted her head as she looked to Salki once more, who had stopped singing and was now poking around in the bushes nearby. Where was it? Salki sighed as she ruffled the bushes around. It was around here somewhere...Suddenly her hand broke through a thin bunch of leaves and she grinned as she looked to Bezzy, seeing her perplexed look. "Well I bet you're wondering what I'm doing?" She pushed apart the branches and leaves lower down, showing an open space behind the thinner bushes in that area. "Go on in and look around..."
The fiero looked surprised before she obediantly pushed and wiggled her frame through the greenery, snagging her back paw on a vine before she broke through to the other side. She blinked as her eyes widened a little. Strangely enough the space her owner had led her into was somehow very well-kept, the more dense plants seemed to avoid growing in this area. Only a few wildflowers were nestled in the plot of grass.
"What do you think girl? Pretty good for a training area huh?" Salki asked as she stood by Rompecomezas peering around. Once she had accidently stumbled onto this place she thought it would be. It was sheltered and hidden away-free of distractions(for the both of them), so why wouldn't it be?

She uttered a slightly confused 'gruff' sound as she pulled her paw away. Her owner seemed to not even notice as she swiped at her other paw and of course she pulled that one away, the other going down once more. Her ears pressed back a little as she let a paw swipe at her hand.
Salki pulled her hand away as they continued for a little while in this pattern of swiping. Then Bezzy seemed to have enough. She let out a bark of annoyance as she jumped to the side. "Right! Jump away..." She said, looking up at her fiero's eyes, hoping she would understand.
Rompecombezas tilted her head then realized that this tired in with their jumping. Jump away from attacks? She could do that! She dropped down on her front paws playfully, her tail wagging like a flag in the breeze. Salki jumped at her again, swiping out.

After a fw moments of this play, Salki was exhausted as she chased after her to tag her leg. She was still ambling about on her hands and knees, not really caring though. Panting, she swiped out but didn't move away in time as Bezzy suddenly barreled into her side, toppling her over.
The fiero gave a start at her owner's sudden yelp and quickly jumped back from her. Had she hurt her? She hadn't meant to; shed been playing! One second they were playing and the next she was laying on the ground awkwardly, sounding as if the wind had been knocked out of her. She whimpered softly as she slowly approached her once more.
The girl was struck in her tailbone as she fell back, a jarring pain running up. Mostly she was just simply shocked by what had happened. Her fiero was stronger then she looked! Suddenly she felt a cold wet nose press and nuzzle against the side of her head.

Salki turned her head to see Rompecombezas, her unique blue-green eyes wide, ears back-her entire aura giving off a feeling of apology and submissive. She shook her head gently, wrapping one arm around her soft, thick neck as she sat up, letting her other hand rub her back gingerly. That would definatly hurt in the mornin', as she would say. "It's okay girl...You just caught me off guard a little-Very nice!"
Bezzy paused in her beginning tail wag. She was praising her? Then she understood. That accidental "attack" could very well be an example of how forceful she could be-how much she could do if she was purposefully trying to knock her opponent off his or her feet. Salki stood up and said in a clear, neutral, calm voice "jump." The fiero jumped after a mere moment's hesitation. Salki held her left hand out as she repeated the command. Bezzy bounced to the right. The girl smiled brightly, obviously pleased by her response, her own tail wagging and her ears both perked forward.

Salki was feeling very excited by this. She had connected the word to the meaning-not only that but she understood her hand singnals! To be sure though she notioned her right, left then right again. Bezzy didn't miss a beat, only not hitting her mark once. Her thoughts went off on a tangent, imagining that with further training, only a glance in a direction or a small nod could help direct Rompecombezas in the midst of battle. She leaned a little as she let her fingers scratch Bezzy's chest in the place she seemed to favor so much. "You're such a smart girl...! I knew I wouldn't regret bringing you here first!"
The fiero barely felt the scratching as her owner's words reached her ears. The smell of affection was rolling off her in waves-cool and sweet. Almost like apples. She remembered times when she was younger, heaving a quiet sigh as she leaned against Salki. (156) (6.4) (Jump; FINISHED. note; -technically next post is kinda bonding filler-)

Her mischevious mother had never quite grown out of her longing for adventure and more times then not she was taken care of by another "queen" as Salki referred to the mothers with young pups and to-be mothers. Her 'siblings' showed sympathy for her, but she was often jealous of their mothers showing them such attention and love-not to mention their fathers even being there. Her father, along with a few other pups didn't live in the same cave. Now though she felt that one on one mother-like love she had always secretly longed for. Her tail swished like a helicopter blade through the air as she nuzzled her face against Salki's side, her nose half tucked under her elbow. Personally, she really wouldn't mind if she was her only fiero here for another month or even longer.
Salki smiled at the affection she was showing back. After a moment, she leaned her forehead against Bezzy's then pulled away. She pulled out her baggy of jerky and tossed her another strip. Bow that she as not focused on her fiero, she saw that her jeans were covered-no, smothered in grass stains and specks of mud. Now if she hadn't known better she would have thought that she had came in camoflouge today! Her lower back still pulsed with the dull pain from her fall. Then she looked down and noticed that her halo had been knocked off, picking it up lightly and dusting it off as she set it back up into the odd 'orbit' that it always held around her flopped ear.

Bezzy tried to catch the strip of jerky in her mouth and failed. She was in such good spirits though she didn't seem to care as she leaned down and picked up the jerky, chewing on it contently. She thought this training was going wonderfully. Her eyes turned upward absentmindedly as she noticed the sun was creeping it's slow constant way across the sky. It felt like dinnertime....She swallowed, feeling her stomach growl. It wanted more then these feeble treats. She heard the clap of human hands and looked to Salki again, alert and excited like she was asking 'What next?!"
Salki smiled at her enthusiasm. She had decided on what she would teach her fiero next-something more calm and stable then jump had proven to not be. The all-essential basc trick-sit. The only trick she could ever teach her dogs, not to mention one cat. Yes, don't judge Salki had taught a cat to sit with treats..in her words 'shut up haters'. The only question was how to teach Rompecombezas this. With her dogs and cat she had held the reat so high up that they'd crane their neck to keep their gaze on this coveted prize, eventually letting their haunches down on the ground.

This was a sucessful method-especially to the point where the cat would sit even when she didn't ask him to or have any treats in hand. The problem here though was the fiero was much larger then any of her previous pets had been. She wouldn't even need to raise her head to keep the treat in sight. She sighed and decided to see if Bezzy had any kind of prior knowledge in the word. She turned back to her patient fiero. "Sit...? Do you know what that means?" Rompecombezas tilted her head to the side, her eyes narrow but thoughtful as she tried to recognize the word. She had heard it before-no doubt of that, but what did it mean again? Her owner had used the same authoritative tone when she directed her to jump. She was confused, letting out a little whine as she stayed standing.

Okay so in Salki's defense, she hadn't exactly thought that would bring about much results. It was worth a fair shot though right? She gave a supporting smile "It's okay that you don't know...We'll fix that alright?" Part of her wished that he had been able to teach this trick to her as a pup. Wait-there she went again comparing fieros to dogs. If fieros were more like dogs it was obvious Wolf would have told her that training would be good at a young age instead of now. She shook out of her thoughts with a possible technique-the one she had used for jump in a way. Imitation. She lowered herself to the ground sitting with her legs stretched out in front of her. "See what I'm doing? This is sitting..."
Bezzy did see. As she stood there, her owner continued to talk and she only caught a few words here and there. Sit...What did her owner want of her? She slowly became frustrated therefore tired and yawned. She stretched a little, ending up falling back on her tail, her back paws splayed out.

The girl gasped lightly to see her sit suddenly. "Yes Bezzy...!" She started as she got up then stopped, realizing she probably just sat of her own free will. "Sit." She repeated, pointing down at the ground. She was unsurprised to see her fiero not do what she meant, but only throw her the old, confused look. Imitation wasn't working so swimmingly...She had another idea though. With a sigh, she went to Bezzy's side and placed her palms on her lower back above her tail, pushing down firmly but gently.
Rompecombezas turned her head, staring at her in a bewildered manner. Were they returning to that first odd trick she'd learned earlier that day? In a way she hoped not-that had been boring. She let her owner continue pressing down-since it didn't really bother her. Except for the whole 'not having a clue what was going on now' thing.

Salki sighed seeing she couldn't exactly make her sit. She tried a little more, pushing. "Come on girl...just put your butt down!" She growled quietly in frusteration. What would she do if she couldn't teach her herself? Maybe she'd go ask Wolf or one of her other friends-Tiger, Winter or Maddy maybe but Wolf would of course be the best. Then she imagined a totally unrealistic Wolf, yelling at her for being an idiot and not knowing how to train her own fiero. "Please sit girl..." She sighed then watched in a little awe as Bezzy tentively lowered herself down after her little begging.
That tone-that half frustrated kinda drained tone...It sounded like something from the old cave. It sounded like the queens when they were trying to tell her and the other pups to 'calm yourself and rest'. Is this what Salki wanted? For her to rest?

Unsurely but steadily she sat. Her brown and green eyes showed her owner a wanting to please.
"That's it girl!" Salki said, perking up at her sudden movement, thinking and hopefully not mistaking a spark of understanding in the fiero's eyes. She stood up, wanting to be sure, to test it. "Jump" she directed clearly and Bezzy stood upright then jumped lightly unphased by the trick already. She patted the ridge of her muzzle gently, nodding. "Good-that's right...now sit." She flicked some dust off her nose gently before she stepped back.
Bezzy grinned at the praise, not minding the return to jump. It was a trick she knew and it kinda made hr feel better with learning this new trick. She dropped down onto her haunches still kinda unsure of her judgement. However she was answered with the praising words then given another strip of jerky. She was sure now that she was getting this trick as she munched away on the snack, being sure to keep her eyes on Salki.

Salki smiled warmly at her fiero's progress, giving a wag with her chocolate tail. She seemed to understand the word now. She ran her through some more combinations of the two commands. She added a nod to her verbal command with 'sit' and finally scratched at her chest when she was satisfied, happy with her paitence. "Great, Rompecombezas! Just fantastic, you're so smart!"
The young fiero was happy that she had learned seemingly three tricks now with her owner's help. Was that good for the first day of training? She didn't know but she felt like it was. She watched as Salki started gathering up her things, yawning a little.
"Let's get home girl...I need to get cleaned up-and I think we could both use a good meal..." She said as if it were a mere after thought and she felt Bezzy wouldn't be interested in such a thing as warm food. The fiero let out an almost indignant bark as she quickly trotted after her owner.
