Salki felt light and breezy again-she had her original fiero back, she was no longer in danger. One of her friends, Dragon had been able to do a lot of work with one of her fieros and so far she'd retrieved two fieros-one being her dear Rompecombezas. She thought of the moment after she came home, still shaking from the battle that made the dragons leave her and she threw her arms around her soft but strong neck. They had been so happy to be together again. Now they seemed almost inseparable, hardly straying from each other farther then a few feet. Rest was not to last long; there were six fieros left to free.
Bezzy pushed through the bushes ahead of Salki, crashing into the meadow. She had understood the basic idea of what had happened to her and others that fateful day from Salki's explanation. She wanted to help those fieros get to their alphas as well. It was unfair.
"Remember we were on nibble, right Bezzy?" Salki asked, finding a stick and holding it out. "Nibble?"

The tan fiero blinked her green and brown dashed eyes. Of cours she remembered the attack they had been working on. After all it felt like only a few days had passed, not more then a week at most since she'd been playing with that bone as Salki taught her about nibble. Even though she knew a few months had actually passed in reality she still felt so surreal about the time lapse. She took hold of the stick in her mouth, her jaw seemingly remembering the exact movements needed as she lightly chewed on it. Salki tugged it to the side then back, making her fight and move to hold on and nibble. 'The opponent isn't gonna just let you chew on them!' The words came back quickly.
Salki pulled her about, trying to drill her farther. She knew that Bezzy seemed to quickly catch on to this. She knew this; it was time to move onto something else; maybe the next stage of attacks involving her teeth. "That's enough~" She sing-songed, dropping the stick and offering her a dog treat, bacon wrapped with a chunk of peanut butter in the middle. A canine's dream.

She decided she would teach her the next level next, as she had with Scrape and Scratch since Nibble would stil be fresh in Bezzy's mind. "Okay so that was Nibble..." She said as she grabbed the stick again. "But now we need to know a stronger attack as well...One that will do more damage then nibble." She held out the stick, holding it with both hands at either end with a big gap in the middle for her to do her thing. "Nip."
The fiero blinked at her as she waited to be told what to do. By this point she had definately gotten used to the training process and if this was just a stronger nibble it wouldn't be so hard to understand or anything. She looked at the stick and leaned down, grabbing it with her teeth. She began to chew on it before realizing she hadn't really done anything any different then with nibbling.

This fact didn't escape Salki's attention either. "No, Bezzy you need to chew harder...Make more of an indent." She said in a gentle but instructing voice which almost scared her because she almost sounded like one of her teachers from elementary school. And that somewhat disheartened her childish heart. But also was a good thing-she had been a nice teacher after all and that was what she wanted to be with Rompecombezas.
She let go of the stick and looked up, blinking lightly at the instructions, feeling a small singe of embarrassment. Of course it was supposed to be more then what nibble was. That was the entire point, wasn't it? Of course it was. She gave a quiet huff before she let her mouth close down on the stick again, feeling her teeth dig into the wood, more adamantly as if she was planning to chew it into smithereens.

Salki watched as Bezzy seemed to be taking her words to mind. "Okay..." She shook the stick and when she let go, she examined the stick's bark. She could see two different sets of teeth marks. One, obviously the nibble's mark, hadn't even broken the bark-it had dug in somewhat, as if someone had dug into it with a coin. The other, a tiny distance away from the original, had penetrated the bark, more like a knife's blade. "Now that's more like it...!" She grinned at the fiero. "Here, do it again...Nip."
Again the stick was held out to her as she wagged her brushy tail at the approval. She grabbed onto the stick again and moved her jaws in the same way she had just done. She could see the familiar shine of happiness in Salki's eyes. "Very good..." She expected her to start tugging it away like had happened before with nibble.

Instead she just pulled it away, not even in the playful away, just took it. She walked to one of the trees nearby, looking up toward the rope that she had used for hanging the box up. She reached up, standing on tiptoes to tie the rope longer, almost down to below her face before tying the end around the stick loosely. She was interested in giving Bezzy a direct reaction for her action-that and the stick was in around the same height where a fiero could be so it might be better training that way. She felt a tad unimaginative with using one of the tactics from before but hey-it was good enough.
Bezzy tilted her head, recognizing this step from before. She flicked her tail her eyes zoning in on the stick before Salki stepped back to her. "Now can you go and nip that stick for me girl-?"

There it was. She imagined her opponent, standing in exactly the same spot the stick hung, somewhat swaying in the breeze. He had a smirk on his muzzle, obviously overconfident in his abilities. He gave a gruff growl, stepping forward toward her, a stripe of hair down his spine raising in a pissed way. She growled. He didn't intimidate her-she felt she could take him on. She charged toward him and opened her jaws, closing them on his leg and biting down. Reality flew back and she had nipped the stick hard enough to tug it from the rope's hold, leaving her standing there nipping it. Her tail wagged hard, finding a dumb prude in such a simple motion.
"Very good Bezzy...!" Salki clapped happily for her. She wrapped her arms around her neck lightly, giving her a hug. Part of her wished she could figure out how to teach telepathy at that moment.

'Hm,' She thought as she tried to think and figure out what they should do next. So far they had done attack after attack-it was getting somewhat monotonous and even though Bezzy acted enthusiastic she expected she was getting tired of it too. A change of pace might help. After all, she wouldn't just benefit from learning attacks , even if they might be top priority in this needy time. Mind made up, she walked over to the beige sand-tinted fiero. As the hetero chromatic eyes looked up to her she murmured "sit."
At the word she dropped lightly onto her haunches. She saw her smile then tilted her grey-edged head as she saw her begin to back away. "Just..Stay there girl..." She stared oddly. What was that word? Stay. She recognized it somewhat to a point. Salki used to say it quite often when she was a pup.

She had definitely not heard it in a while. So she hadn't a clue what it meant really. She just remembered she was told to 'stay there and not do anything' a few times when she'd gotten too rowdy. So she didn't do anything. "Good girl~!" Salki said as she rejoined her. Confusion spread through her body. Good-good what? She hadn't done anything!
She smiled at her fiero. So far, so good. "Stay." She said again and backed away again, going farther this time. She felt some pride in her fiero-back on Earth her dogs would have never heeded this command at all.
Did Salki want her to just do nothing? But why? what a silly thing to be teaching her, she knew how to do nothing already! Bezzy even almost felt insulted in a way. This had to be a puppy thing. She bet other fieros were blazing through their training, and here she was just doing nothing.

Bezzy snapped out of her thoughts suddenly staring-where had she gone? She had been there ahead of her, but there, but now she was gone. Anxiety began to prickle her pelt. Her eyes went wide with a chilling possibility. What if those evil dragons decided that fieros were fair game, the same as fieros? Her ears twitched then laid back. She didn't smell or hear anything unusual in the meadow though, just the constant scents of herself and her trainer. She waited for a second, expecting Salki to come back, atleast into her vision.
'She really is doing an implecible job with this.' Salki thought amused. However as she thought this, the mere words seemed to jinx the fiero's success. At that moment she stood and started forward in a trot in her direction. She sighed softly and stepped out from her hiding place, shaking her head. "No, no no Bezzy..."

She stopped in her tracks, ears perked to the lectorial tone in Salki's voice. "When I say stay I mean for you to stay put where you are-regardless of what I do or where I go..." She tilted her head lightly. Why? Why would that be important-she just didn't get it. At that her trainer seemed undeterred though. "You kind of just have to trust me here girl..."
After Salki gave her little speech, she smiled encouragingly. "Now let's try again...Sit." Rompecombezas sat down once more. "Now stay..." She began to back away again. She didn't go quite as far as before though. Just about a good number of tail-lengths. She wasn't about to go hide behind a tree again, not yet. She had just given Bezzy the official explanation so she watched her carefully. The fiero seemed to understand what she meant now. She sat upright, as prim and neat as a statue.

Her streaked tail flickered back and forth as she kept her bum planted on the ground. Her mind tried to work on why this would be useful. Maybe if they were walking in a forest and Salki was behind her and she saw a rock fall down-no a boulder. A boulder bigger then her head, rolling down the side of a mountain. But Bezzy no she didn't notice it and Salki did but she was too far behind to get to her. So she would call out 'Stay!' And Bezzy would steak to a halt and the boulder would miss her by centimeters and-
"Very good girl...!" Salki smiled widely as she came over to her. "That wasn't so hard huh?" She chuckled as the fiero nuzzled her soft head into her hand. "Nice work...Now that's stay and just...remember it alright?" She smiled as she gave her a strip of chicken.

As Bezzy ate her treat, Salki became aware of the time of day. The sky was slowly becoming dark and it was getting steadily colder as well. Night time was approaching already-? Maybe she should not have been so surprised though. It was not like they had set out very early that morning or anything. It had to have been at least mid afternoon by the time they finally got out to the meadow. They had been pretty productive that day-they weren't on strained time. They had plenty of time to train...And there was something else she had wanted to attend to; more specifically, somebody. Somebody who'd been waiting for some alone time with her.
"Let's pack it up girl..." Bezzy looked up to her trainer, feeling her stomach growl. She had just been getting back into the swing of this-but then again, a break could be nice. She yawned lightly as she followed her out of the meadow.

Rompecombezas sighed somewhat tiredly as she followed her alpha. It seemed like it had been such a long time since they had been in the training meadow. She felt older, wiser somehow. She wasn't a youngster, barely an adult, with dreams of victory ravid in her mind any longer. She was more realistic now; that second battle had startled her, the speed of that male! She shook her head as she saw Salki pushing the brush aside for them to enter; that was really no way to think.
"Come on girl," Salki hummed as the fiero pushed herself into the familiar clearing. She followed, still unsure what to teach her on this trip. She wanted to teach her something before her next battle. Rumor was there were only a few fieros left to be rescued-and the dragon. She definitely wanted them to be prepared in case she walked from the shadows of the arena.
