Aisling hummed lightly as she walked along, almost gliding over the new born grass in her skirt. She smiled at the large fiero padding off in front of her. Her little Palame had surely grown over the last month. Her eye color had changed as well as Embarr's had when he had grown so she now guessed it wasn't so uncommon for that to happen. Palame's eyes were now a bright lime green that sort of mismatched her fiery personality. She had grown to understand her better and now saw this personality as a shining hope that the brown female fiero would be determined enough beside her to rescue Embarr. She was interested to see how she would react to her trying to train her.
Palame shot a light glance behind her, checking to be sure her mentor was following. She was following her small pointing gestures toward...wherever they were going today.

A managery of different smells suddenly met her nose. She stopped a little, ears flicking forward then back. This was sort of odd. Her senses were telling her they were approaching an area where a lot of humans and fieros trafficed often enough.
The young woman came beside her, letting the back of her hand lightly stroke Palame's back before continuing to walk. This gesture was apparently comforting enough for the fiero walked with her once more. She soon found the spot she had marked off for them earlier, trees providing shade and near enough to a small lake. She stopped abruptly and turned to the fiero. She wasn't quite sure how she would train her to do anything since she hadn't had a chance before to try with Embarr. She knew a major component of it was the voice commands, which of course she was missing. She should start with one that might not be that essential for commands. She let her hand reach out and rest on Palame's noggin.

The abrupt stop was enough to tell her something was up. Her mentor's movements were usually so fluid and she walked with barely a twitch in her leg. They were definitely here for some reason. She lifted her green eyes to look into her deep brown ones, something she had learned often shed light on what the girl was thinking. The hand on her head didn't shed too much light on things. Aisling seemed more focused and tense though, that was one thing. She twitched her ear lightly.
Aisling saw the unusual focus in her expression and smiled widely, nodding at her. She knew she was probably confused; but maybe she'd understand soon. She let her hand gingerly slide down the back of her head and to her neck, her other hand joining it on the other side of her neck. She let her hands gently pressure on either side. Palame let out a quiet whine, obviously unsure of this.

Aisling shook her head gently, her dishwater blonde hair swishing about her face as she let her hands gently stroke her neck fur. Satisfied she smiled and brought out a small piece of chicken. She felt there was need for some good ol' positive reinforcement, the most basic of domestication principles, she held out the scrap to Palame as she backed up lightly.
Palame let out a quiet, huffy breath at her mentor but continued to stay still with her contact. Her eyes widened at the offered food. She was being rewarded for something? She still really didn't understand but hey-she thought with a grin on her muzzle, 'who am I to question my mentor?' That reasoning was all she needed. She reached out her tongue, gently tipping the chicken into her mouth and quickly finishing it off. She looked around as she licked her muzzle clean. She realized this place had an oddly bittersweet smell.

Excitement, disappointment, confidence, apprehension...These all greeted her the same and simultaneously. She looked back to Aisling as she produced a clicking sound with her tongue and teeth. It was hard though; this was boring.
She put her hand gently back to the starting point of her head. Her fingers gently veered down her back, along her spine and the fiero actually had little interest in this movement, probably because this is how Aisling used to pet her when she was small. Aisling couldn't help but grin. This was turning out to be easy as pie. However it seemed as if she had jinxed herself with that fleeting thought as her fingers were drifting to her tail. Palame seemed to be tiring of the repetitive, boring instruction as she began to walk away, as if she thought that if she just moved slowly enough, Aisling wouldn't catch her in that act.

She tilted her head, staring at her fiero. Did she really think she'd let her off so easily? She let her hand close along her brushy brown tail, making a disapproving growl noise at her. Since this was her only way to directly communicate with her fieros, she had began to make a system of noises to direct her fieros.
Palame huffed and looked at her mentor. Did they really have to do this? She stopped and let her continue to feel her, a hand first patting the left side of her and then the right side with varying degrees of pressure but altogether gently. Finally she pulled out another bit of chicken, letting her have it. The lady smiled proudly at her, deciding to let her have a break. She knew this must be trying on her. She sat down on a large rock carefully and waved her hands away, giving her a go ahead to do whatever nearby.

The brown fiero tilted her head before taking full advantage of the moment of freedom, like recess had been called. Promptly she began to prance around the area to stretch her legs, soon finding the lake. She smiled to herself, flicking her tail as she took a drink. She began to return to her mentor, deciding that no matter how tedious it was she had to return to what they had been doing.
Aisling sighed lightly, leaning back and letting the sun's rays warm her face through the trees above. She looked up to see her fiero padding back toward her, but she seemed very distracted; she was messing with one of her paws-nibbling at them. That was no good; she knew animals could gnaw themselves ragged if they had an injury. She stood up, reaching out gently to her, clicking her tongue some. Palame looked up at her and motioned close, seeming to force herself to ignore her paw. She began to run her hands down from her back, down her legs carefully. Her fingers brushed against the leg feathers running down the back of her front legs.
Palame twitched lightly, her ears folding back. She didn't like that; her paw felt itchy too.

Aisling hummed softly to show she was pleased with the fiero's patience. She reached her paws gradually, picking up the left paw and gently pressuring the pawpaws. She felt Palame let out a large sigh, making her light hair billow softly. She nodded then went to do the same to her right-however she was taken aback in shock when the fiero snapped at her.
Palame had jerked with the stinging feeling in her paw. She stared back at her mentor, ears suddenly pinning back and she let out an apologetic whimper. Slowly she offered her paw to her again, holding it delicately in front of her.
She had been shaken by the fiero's angry action then stared at her as she held her paw up toward her. She crinkled her eyebrows as she shakily took her paw again, seeing the fiero's muzzle scrunch with some sensation. She slowly turned her paw over, finally finding the problem.

Somehow Palame had gotten a splinter like shard of wood stuck in between her pawpads. It didn't look like any sort of thorn or stick from Earth, but it seemed to curve inside her paw and come out at another part. She looked up at her and clicked softly, letting one arm curve around her neck, leaning lightly against her as she reached toward the splinter.
The brown whined, her ears laying back as she saw the tear in her paw and what had done it. She shook slightly before nuzzling her muzzle into Aisling's shoulder, not wanting to watch.
Slowly she wriggled the thing out, tossing it carefully into the brush. She felt the fiero's tensions melt against her and the soft but wet feeling as the fiero's tongue licked her cheek thankfully. She looked up at her and smiled widely, gently petting her muzzle before she decided she would get this over with. She lifted her dress carefully as she scootched back to the fiero's back legs.

Now Palame had seemingly no trouble as the girls fingers touched down her legs to her paws. Her touch was careful and gentle...And it actualy felt good to be touched by her alpha in such a way. She leaned into her slightly.
Finally Aisling felt content that Palame had accepted her contact. She did a quick check of her wounded paw, which seemed to have clotted already before she stood up, dusting her gown off. She wondered what would be a logical next step; probably some attacks since Palame would need to go up against fierce opponents. However, she looked at Palame somewhat nursing her own paw and thought they'd done enough for that day. She stroked her head and pointed toward where they came.
The fiero looked up surprised but didn't argue, following after her mentor. When they got home though-there would be a surprise for both of them.
