(OOC: Hope you don't mind that I started it Salki, and sorry for the title, it's weird, I know XD) Calamity wasn't quite sure what she was doing here. Wolf had said that it was important that she come here alone today, and she had to please her alpha. She had absolutely no idea what she was supposed to do here though. It was just an empty meadow with a small lake in the middle of it, lined by oak and maple trees. Pretty, yeah, but kind of boring. She flopped down next to the lake, wondering what she was supposed to be doing here. Her alpha hadn't told her. She had just smiled secretly and said that she would know soon. She hoped so, she didn't want to stay here for too long, although, then again, it was kind of nice to get out of the storage and away from Rainbow. Although she idolized the other Fiero, Rainbow could be petty at times, like when she decided to bring up that their alpha had raised Cala first. As if she could change something about that! She gave another sigh and let her pink eyes close. She had decided to sleep for a little bit while she waited. (Words: 188) (4.1)

The black and white patterned fiero yawned as he padded across the grassy landscape. He hadn't been an adult for too long yet but he already eminated a sense of independance and meaning. However today-he wasn't quite sure what he was doing. He felt something when he woke up that day that told him to get outside, go exploring on his own...And the moment his lady Aisling offered to let him out of the house, he took her up on it and trotted away. Now it was just bothering him on what in the world this odd yearning was. He perked his head up as a new scent reached his nose. He walked closer to the lake then saw another fiero, much like him sleeping quietly on the shore. This didn't surprise him-he had heard someone call him a 'common' when he was a pup and he figured there were others. He stopped, not wanting to wake her up. Common courtasy, you could say. He turned to veer away and ended up with his paw in a hole, falling practically on his muzzle. That worked out well... (188) o3o (4)

The sound of him falling jolted Cala out of her light sleep. She took a step back away from the noise, and the shock of the icy cold water on her back feet jerked her awake. She stood there for a few moments before she realized what had happened. A male. A male Fiero was here, and appeared to have his paw caught in a hole.
Cautiously she approached the other Fiero and took a deep sniff of the air around him. He wasn't a part of her pack, that was for sure. She could smell a human on him, but it wasn't the scent of hers. However, he was also on the ground, obviously he was no threat to her right now.
Her mind made up, she walked around to the front of him where he could see her. "Are you alright?" She asked, one paw lifting up, either to help him or to run away depending on what his answer was.

For a moment all he could do was just mentally ram his head into a wall. That was stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. How had he not seen the hole? His ears caught the splash sound that was most likely the female. Fantastic, he had woken her up. He wished he'd just stayed at home now.
With her words, he perked up instantly, shaking his fur loose of the dirt as he sat up, averting his gaze, not wanting to see any amusement in her gaze. "Uh-yeah...I'm alright-just my pride is all..." He struggled for a moment with wrenching his paw free then sighed and decided to use her offered paw for help, jerking it free. He looked at her finally and gave a smile when it was obvious she wasn't making fun of him. Embarr stretched his front legs out slightly, somewhat sheepishly. "Sorry about that, I didn't mean to wake you up, you seemed rather comfortable..."

She gave a slight laugh at that, not directed toward him, but toward herself. "Don't worry, I hadn't been sleeping for too long. Truthfully, I only came here because my alpha told me that I should. I got bored waiting for whatever it was she wanted me here for to happen and decided to take a nap." She shrugged. "Can't say I enjoyed the temperature of the water, but that was my fault and not yours."
With a curious tilt of her head, she sat down beside him. "I've never seen another grown common before." She confessed. "Actually, I've never seen another grown Fiero outside of my own pack." She was getting a bit excited now. "What's your pack like?" She asked, and tilted her head the other way. She hoped that she wasn't seeming rude just asking him these questions out of the blue. She really was interested though. Now that she knew that he wouldn't attack her, she was very curious about this new Fiero.

He nodded and then tilted his head in curiousity of that. He held a chuckle at the bit about the water then his tail swished back and forth, glad she hadn't simply asked for him to leave or any such thing.
He nodded slightly. "Neither have I actually..." It was true, he realized. The last time he'd been near another fiero was when he play-wrestled with that soft blue and white pup when he was one himself. He perked up, seeing her interest and couldn't help letting out a laugh at the question. His choice of words would have been different. "My pack? Well...For starters, you're looking at half of it. It's just me and milady Aisling. She's taken care of me since I was a pup." He paused, pondering on the young woman who cared for him. "She's kind and thoughtful...She can't talk though I've come to understand her pretty well. 'Mute' or something...It's amazing what people can tell with their eyes and hands if you stop to look..." He trailed off lightly, looking at the other fiero again and coughed, knowing he had probably spoken more then wanted. "Erm-what about you, I mean, your pack...?"

(OOC: Hey Salki? Remind me about this when I forget? Here I was making work for myself yesterday because I was so bored and forgetting that I had this to reply to XD Also, when she says a Fiero's name, she's changing her scent to match there's. Fieros don't exactly know the concept of a name as we do, but for the sake of simplicity, I'm just stating them as you or I would in a sentence. Only Fieros who have been taught their own names understand the idea of them.)
She listened carefully to his explanation of his pack, and was surprised by what she heard. "Doesn't it get lonely with only you and your alpha?" She asked. She couldn't imagine having less Fieros in her pack. Sure, Haku wasn't really up for playing any sort of game, and Rainbow's idea of playing with her was chasing her all around the storage yelling about how she should have been the Fiero that Wolf raised first, but they were still her pack, and she felt loyal to both of them.
She didn't push it though. All Fieros were different after all, and if he liked having just his alpha, well, then that was fine with her.
"Hmm..." She said to his next question. "My pack isn't too big either. Just me, my alpha, and two other Fieros. Rainbow has supposedly been with her forever or something, even though I saw her as a pup. I don't really understand it. She doesn't like that my alpha raised me before her, so I wouldn't exactly call her my friend, although I do look up to her. She's so strong and brave, and has these beautiful silver and gold wings..." She trailed off, thinking about Rainbow. She wasn't about to pretend that she wasn't jealous of the other Fiero at times. It was obvious that she was the alpha's favourite.
"Then there's Haku. He's nice enough, but kind of intimidating at times. He's the beta, although Rain's constantly challenging him for the position. He has a mate in another pack, and from what I can tell, spends most of his time thinking about her, so he and I aren't really close either."
She blinked lightly as she recalled that he had also wanted to know about her. "I'm interested in trying out battling once I've been trained a bit." She began. "Might try my paw at a show or too if my alpha lets me... She's an odd one, she doesn't like training tricks for some reason. I think that I'm friendlier than Haku or Rain. If either of them had found you here, they likely would have tried to chase you off." She laughed a bit at this, and wagged her tail. She liked the male's personality, not confrontational or indifferent like the other two Fieros in her pack. Sure, she had Wolf too, and her alpha was surprisingly kind and patient, but she couldn't exactly carry on a conversation with her, and sometimes it was really nice having someone of your own species to talk to.
"So what are you doing out here?" She asked, tilting her head yet again in curiosity.

Embarr tilted his head a bit at her obvious surprise. "Not really...If anything with only being an alpha and a fiero the fiero gets all the attention..." He said with a shrug then thought about it. Okay so yeah-Aisling wasn't the best playmate. She didn't like rough-housing and only played with him like that when he was a pup. Maybe he would like another fiero to always be around somtime.
He nodded as she spoke of her pack then cocked an ear curiously at her mention of the oddities concerning one of her packmates. "Huh...That doesn't make sense..." He scratched the side of his head in thought of how that could be. He thought that maybe this Rainbow was somewhat...crazy. This wasn't to be cynical he just couldn't help thinking it. Of course he wasn't about to say this to her-they were carrying on a conversation and he was sure she wouldn't appreciate him insulting the fiero she looked up to. He nodded more as she continued.
He perked his ears and couldn't help instantly agreeing with her. "Sounds like it to me..." He stared then chuckled at that. "Well lucky me it was you I ran into instead huh..." He blinked at her question then shrugged. His motivations were too odd to tell her for the moment. "Just wandering about..."

She nodded at his words, and figured that they did make sense. She would indeed get more attention if Wolf didn't have the rest of her pack too, but she still thought that she would be lonely. Alphas were great and all that, but they were kind of weak, and weren't very much fun to play with. Plus there was the fact that they made you do stuff, which, she supposed, they were supposed to, but sometimes it was nice to just get out of the storage with one of her pack and hunt or something.
Her mind rambled, which was odd, because Calamity was usually a very straight forward sort of Fiero. Maybe it was the male that was the reason for it? She didn't know how or why, but he seemed to be affecting her thoughts, making her think more than usual.
She smiled when he said he was lucky that he had run into her, and wagged her tail happily. She really did like his company. "Maybe we could explore together for a bit?" She suggested. Whatever her alpha had wanted her to come here for could wait for a bit. It would be fun to walk around with him and show her a few of her favourite spots around here.

He smiled at her attentive thoughtfulness to his words. It was nice that she seemed quite so interested in him-kinda weird because he didn't consider himself much more then normal-but nice none-the-less. Especially since that vague message she was given told her to wait for something here so you'd think she would be more interested in that and less in him.
Embarr grinned as his statement had obviously made a positive impact on the female. He pondered how it was possible that she could look so graceful and beautiful, so apart and individual from other common fieros. He tilted his head lightly at the suggestion then nodded as he began to stand up, stretching somewhat restlessly as he looked around. "Sure! Great thinking!" So great he wished he had thought of it himself. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that he'd tripped over his own paws and waked her up after all. Maybe this was just what he'd been needing lately.

Cala's tail wagged faster when he accepted her suggestion. She wasn't quite sure if he would. After all, they had just met and all. Then again, if he had been the one to make the offer, she was almost positive that she would have accepted it. Something about him just seemed to draw her to him. Maybe it was his friendly personality, or the way he held himself, or something else entirely.
Well, whatever it was, she felt completely at ease around him. Now, where to show him first... That huge old abandoned den would be interesting... It was a bit scary, sure, but she didn't think that anything had lived in it for hundreds of years. It was certainly an interesting place.
Mind made up, she stretched out her legs a bit too, and then began walking. "Follow me." She called over her shoulder. "I know where something really cool is."

He chuckled noting her pleasure then looked around as she seemed to ponder. He'd never really been around this area, apart from walking by and glancing it with Aisling. Wherever she showed him, it was bound to be new and interesting. Actually it didn't really matter if all she showed him was a rock-he'd enjoy it because he would be with this pretty young fiero.
His ears perked in curiousity at her words as he watched her begin to saunter away then walked after her with a chuckle. "Color me intrigued, miss Cala..." He said with a grin as he followed her, his tail flicking as he advanced to her side.

She blushed very lightly at his words. No one had ever called her that before, but she decided that she quite liked it. She slowed down her speed just a tad so they were walking side by side. "So have you been around this part of the forest before?" She asked him. She didn't want to be showing him places that he had never seen before, and if he had spent any time here, he likely would have already seen the cave. It was hard to miss.
She paused for a few seconds at a place where several trees grew in a clump together, trying to remember how to get to the cave from here. She stood there for a little bit, one paw up like she was a pointer dog, before finally seeing something that looked familiar.
"This way." She said confidently. "I haven't been around here too much myself, so I still don't quite know where everything is yet." She said to hopefully explain her sudden pause.

He shook his head a bit. "No, not really...I usually tend to stay on the beaten path." He shrugged then tilted his head as he pondered quietly. That made him sound rather boring. Of course she didn't act like it. Or maybe she was just being polite. Either way it was totally true that today seemed to be a farcry from the usual.
He perked his ears as she seemed to freeze for a few moments then nodded as she seemed to recatch her bearings. He offered a chuckle at her, nudging his paw against her shoulder. "Oh it's alright. You obviously know more then I do atleast..." He nodded encouragingly as he continued to follow her lead. For safety's sake he was definatly going to keep track of the landmarks though. Not that he didn't trust Cala but he knew no-one was perfect and it might come in handy.

With only a few minor detours, Cala quickly lead them to the cave. She paused outside of it, staring up at it in awe. She had been here a few times before, but it always boggled her mind at just how big and old it seemed. The place where they were standing was likely the site of a long ago river, because walls rose up on either side of it, likely cut there by the flow of the water.
Set into one of the walls was the cave. It was large enough that its entrance almost reached to the top of them, and wide enough that four Fieros could have walked through it side by side. A slight breeze seemed to blow from the entrance, making everything seem a few degrees cooler.
"So." Cala said with a playful smile. "Want to explore it?" Truthfully, she hadn't been in it herself. Cala wasn't a coward, but something about how large and ancient the thing was made it more than a bit intimidating.
