(Anyone who gets that reference... is watching movies that they likely shouldn't be XD Private, by the way. Maddy and I only. That may change, but likely not)
As dreams went, this one was pretty realistic. the long grass waved in a light breeze, it's colour somewhere between green and yellow. Through the grass wandered a rather strange creature however, one that wouldn't be seen anywhere but in a dream, or this strange world.
The creature shook his head, and then abruptly sat down. "Darn thing's likely endless, knowing my mind." He muttered to himself as he looked around at the meadow he was in. His short fur and rough pads kept the grass from tickling him, and he was, for once, glad of the strange body he had found himself in. He just wished that he would stop banging his head on tree branches.
The dream hadn't been going on for very long, maybe a few days dream time, so likely only fifteen minutes or so of his night. It was strange though, usually it didn't take this long for something exciting to happen in his dreams. Oh well, he was stuck in this one until morning, no matter how boring it was.
He wondered how his mind had come up with this. Usually his dreams had at least a hint of reality to them, he would turn a corner and find that he was in a room in his school, even though he was supposed to be in a spaceship or something. This strange grassy field though... sure he had driven past hundreds like it, but he had never spent any time in one, and certainly never one as overgrown as this.
And the feeling... like something brushing against his skin... was that just the fur that he had found growing all over his body, or something else? Something told him this dream didn't take place on Earth, no matter how much it looked like it.

Xander decided that this world was seriously out of balance. The inside to outside ratio was extremely off. There was way too much outside and not enough inside. The inside there was, was just too boring to keep Xander entertained for long, so there was no other choice but to go outside. Xander was sure he was going to die of nature overdose. It wasn't that he hated nature but he wasn't too fond of it. It was fine in moderation.
Xander wandered around, not really sure where the heck he was going. He was in a meadow, the tall grass almost swallowing him. Nature didn't like short people, Xander had already figured that out. What short people every did to nature Xander had no idea.
Xander was pretty much blind as he was not able to see over the grass. It was to be expected that he would run into something, however it was not to be expected the something would be furry. Xander suddenly found himself on the ground staring at a orange, furry thing. His impact with the thing had been thankfully light.
Xander wasn't taken off gaurd by running into something, it was more about what he ran into. Xander just stared at the orange shape.

Luke sat in the grass, contemplating the dream further. Sometimes he wished that he wasn't a lucid dreamer, with the ability to know if he was dreaming or not. He had learned it because being able to tell you were in a dream was supposed to let you alter it however you wanted. So far though, Luke had had no luck. It was odd, finding yourself somewhere and knowing that no matter what you did, it didn't matter, because you were just going to wake up soon, and maybe even forget about the dream entirely.
Now was as good a time as any to practice the controlling aspect of lucid dreaming though. Looking around one last time to see if there was anything interesting, he closed his eyes and concentrated. Start out slowly, try not to be too specific. That was one of the instructions in the dream. Wish something into existence, you had to truly believe it was there in order for it to be there.
What should he think of though? Well, anything to make this dream more exciting would be useful... and so he did just as the book had said, trying to believe that something interesting, something small, would happen to him.
A light impact jerked him out of his thoughts, and he stood up quickly, then looked down to see what looked like a little kid sprawled on the ground. Had he really done it? Had he created the kid? He must have! He just stood there, grinning like an idiot, or a crazed, murderous tiger as he looked down at Xander, convinced that he was simply a product of his attempts to lucid dream.

Xander's throat tightened. He looked up at the creature, his eyes growing wide. Panic began to set in. What was this thing? It wasn't a fiero. It looked crazy, smiling down at him. Xander thoughts started to come together. The creature resembled a tiger. It wasn't a tiger though, unless tiger's had evolved when he wasn't paying attention. Maybe, maybe this was a fiero owner? The possibility was there, but it was small. Most likely the tiger was going to eat him.
"I don't taste good." Xander blurted out. Xander had somewhat gotten control of his thoughts, though he was still terrified. Running wasn't an option, since the tiger probably would outrun him. Fighting wasn't either, the reasons being obvious. Xander was small, that thing was not. Xander was good at talking, maybe he could talk the tiger out of eating him."I taste like like the worst food you've ever had. I'm probably not healthy either. I'd probably give you a disease. So don't eat me. Please. Pretty, pretty please." He just started blathering, not thinking about what he said. Not the best idea.

Luke kept staring at the kid, confused that he looked so scared. Luke wasn't an intimidating guy, was he? Then he remembered the fur and the stripes, and the glimpse in the puddle of the yellow eyes and the fangs... Strangely, music began to play in his head, a commercial that he had seen a million times. "Oh god." He said, and then gave a shake of his head. "I've dreamed myself into Tony the tiger's body!"
This was an embarrassing revelation to him. He wasn't embarrassed because the kid saw him like this, the kid, as far as he was concerned, didn't exist. He was embarrassed because somewhere, deep in his mind, his unconsciousness thought he wanted to be Tony the tiger. He did like tigers, they were his favourite animal, but he had never wanted to be one, and certainly not a freaky anthropomorphic tiger like he found himself being now.
To distract himself from this unpleasant discovery, he focused his attention back on the kid, hoping that his mind had had enough time to think of a name and whatnot for him. "Hey kid?" He asked. "What's your name?"

Xander was relived that the tiger could talk, and that he seemed rather not scary. At least, it didn't seem like he was going to try and eat Xander. Xander didn't relax though, the tiger still was a tiger creature, and still could tear him to shreds. Being torn to shreds wouldn't be fun.
Xander tilted his head. Tony the tiger? Xander was confused, who was Tony the tiger? What was that about a dream? The tiger had dreamed himself into Tony the tiger's body? That made no sense at all, and that was coming from Xander.
Xander blinked. Now the tiger was talking to him. That wasn't a bad thing, more like a good thing. Though not sane, the tiger didn't seem mean or violent. Don't judge a book by it's cover was a rule Xander tried to follow, he usually failed, but at least he tried.
"My name? Alexander." Xander answered."But don't call me that, call me Xander." he snapped quickly."What's your name? Tony? Tony and tiger both start with T. Are you a tiger? You look like a tiger,at least a little. OK, maybe a lot." Xander said, getting somewhat off track.

Luke just stared at the kid as he babbled, and kind of wished that he hadn't decided that he wanted the dream to be more interesting. He was a bit annoying. Xander though, that was certainly an interesting name.
"No." He said, gritting his teeth. "Tony the tiger is a fictional cartoon mascot for a brand of cereal. I'm Luke, and once I wake up, I'm going to be a normal guy again, not a freaky tiger-thing. Sorry for scaring you, by the way. I'm just not used to being scary looking, is all. Usually the other things in my dreams are the scary things."
He didn't mention that the kid was just a part of his dream. He had done that a few times, and from his experiences, dream things didn't like being told they weren't real, and he really didn't want to spend the rest of the night getting chased by Xander with a rake, or something.
Usually his dream things knew what was supposed to be going on in the dream better than he did. "Hey Xander?" He asked. "Where are we, exactly?"

"A fictional tiger." Xander echoed. Xander just stared at Luke. He was insane, but insane was fun. Insane people were sometimes a challenge to manipulate and sometimes they were easy. Mostly they were just crazy, which was fun by itself.
While staring at Luke Xander realized he was still on the ground, which made Luke even taller. He picked himself of the ground and dusted off.
"Dream?" Xander asked, suddenly realizing what Luke just said."What do you mean, dream?" Yes, Luke was definitely insane.
"Oh, that's easy. We're in this world, that isn't Earth, I don't know the name, but it's got way too much outside. There is this person and she brought some things here. They're called Fieros. They're like wolfs, expect for they're really big," Xander stretched out his arms,"expect for when they're pups, they're really small then," he moved his arms close together,"Then they grow overnight, and get big. They can think, and learn things, and they think people are their umm what's the word? Alpha, yeah they think people are their alphas. This isn't the place they come from though, they come from a different place that isn't Earth, but someone brought them here for some reason." Xander finished, feeling proud at his explanation. "Oh, wait, you meant here, here." Xander waved his arms,"We're in a meadow." Xander nodded seriously.

(OOC: My muse is on another project right now, so if my posts seem a bit crappy, that's why) Luke listened to his explanation with a smile on his face, mentally thanking his brain for coming up with this crazy plot. Giant wolves, what would he think of next. Well, it would certainly keep him busy until he woke up. "So what's the goal?" He asked, having blocked out most of the kid's explanation. He had stopped listening after Xander had said they were really big. "Am I supposed to hunt them, or keep them as pets, or what?" Almost right on the moment he said that, like a well rehearsed play, something small and white, about the size of a cat, could be seen through the grass. The creature made it's way over to Luke, ignoring Xander. As it got closer, Luke could see that it was a canine, with blue eyes and grey inside of its ears. It made its way to him for all the world as though it were a puppy and he its master, and then sat contently at his feet with a sigh. He really hoped that the answer to Xander's question was the latter. He didn't think he would have the heart to kill the thing, even if it was only a dream. (Bree: 1) (Words: 211)

What is he deaf Xander thought irritably. He had just explained the whole thing. Was he ignoring him or something? Xander blinked at the puppy as he thought these things. It seemed to like Luke. The puppy was kind of cute, of course not as cute as Doodles was. Doodles was the cutest, just because Doodles was Xander's.
Xander wanted to tell Luke that yes, he did have to kill the puppy. That would be too much fun, but then he thought better of it. He wanted to keep on the good side of Luke. He also doubted the wolf-person-girl would like him doing that. Boring sticks in the mud.
He kept all these feelings inside, being careful not to let the tell-tale signs come out. It was a skill Xander had mastered. It was something he prided himself on, it was something he used to survive.
"Of course not, silly. You raise them and train them and stuff." Xander explained cheerfully.

Luke let out a sigh of relief as he learned the plot of his dream. Raise and train giant wolves? He was in.
"Awesome!" He said, and then bent down to pet the little creature. "So is this your... uh..." Crap, what had the kid, Xander, called the things? It had started with an f... "Erm, your wolf?" He finally stated, rather lamely.
The thing was adorable, with it's bright blue eyes and flawless white coat, like an art canvass just waiting to have paint thrown on it. Like endless possibilities, all wrapped up in a fluffy little bundle.
His hand felt weird when he touched it. Fur on fur contact was not something he was used to. The pup didn't seem to mind though, and it wagged it's little tail and licked his hand. Secretly, he hoped that it didn't belong to the kid, that he could have it, but realistically, he knew that wild animals weren't this tame. Well, not in the real world at any rate. Maybe in his dreams they were...

So he wasn't listening at all. Figures. After Xander went through all that trouble to explain everything to him he didn't even pay attetion."Fieros." Xander corrected, keeping the exasperation out of his voice.
"What..? No, that Fiero isn't mine. Mine is the best, and she's not all tiny anymore. She got big. She is all dotted, and pretty. She is way better than plain white. Doodles is the best. She is really hyper though, like she had eaten sugar all time. I never give her sugar though, I don't think it's healthy for them. I don't think vegetables are good for them either, weird huh? They hunt for themselves, I think. Doodles is never hungry anyway, I mean I've never fed her or anything. So their meat eaters, like real wolfs." Xander explained, providing the big and small hand gestures.
"You want that Fiero, Lu-Lu? Fieros are nice, I bet she already thinks your her.... what was that word? Alpha. I don't like that word, too big. Yeah, I bet she already is attached to you." Xander rambled, feeling helpful.

Though the kid was babbling, he paid closer attention this time, figuring that some of what he said might actually be useful. Ok, so.... Fieros... didn't like vegetables, or sugar, and they hunted on their own, and got big. Well, that was useful information, and he wondered just what he had missed about them before.
The thing was a girl? He looked at the pup, but for the life of him couldn't tell. Maybe it was just one of those things in dreams, where something seemed to make sense, but if you thought about it really hard, you wondered how it could have possibly been known before. Wait, not Xander's? Maybe... his?
"I..." He shook his head to clear it, carefully storing the new information he had heard. "Yeah, I want her." He finally said, reaching down. "Here girl!" He called out, and was more than a little surprised when the pup made a beeline right for his big, orange and black striped hands and allowed him to lift her up. She gave a lick to his cheek fur, and then made the funniest face when she got his fur on her tongue.
A name for her seemed to pop out of nowhere. "Bree." He stated. "Her name will be Bree."

"Bree...? What kind of a name is Bree?" Xander asked, not liking the name at all. "She kind of looks like a... a sugar bunny! Her name should be Bunny. See? It starts with a B like Bree, but it's better. I'm going to call her Bunny, bu I guess you can call her Bree if you want, she is yours, but my name is better." Xander informed Luke, very matter-of-faculty.
Then Xander titled his head at Bree."She likes you lots. Your like best friends for life and you just met each other." Xander observed."Bunny and Lu-Lu." Xander tested their names out. "Your names go together." Xander reported happily. The way Luke interacted with Bree destroyed any doubts in Xander's mind, Luke was not a threat. The fiero didn't even seem afraid of his appearance, like Xander had been. Xander just made a mental note to tread lightly, if Luke did get mad he could probably take Xander out with little effort. Best to be on the safe side.

"Bunny?" Luke asked, peering at the pup he held in his hands. She didn't look like a Bunny to him. Maybe the kid thought that because she was white or something? Wasn't that the way cartoon bunnies were always depicted? White with big floppy ears and buck teeth?
He quickly stopped thinking of bunnies, so Bree wouldn't turn into one. Knowing his dreams, he was going to change something without meaning to, and he really didn't want to end up training giant bunnies. Bunnies weren't nearly as cool as wolves.
"Uh... Lu-Lu?" He asked next. It sounded like a girl's name to him, the kind who always wore pink and had ribbons in their hair. He was really starting to regret creating this Xander kid, and contemplated trying to un-create him, but decided against it. After all, Bree might go as well, and he didn't want that.
"Well, you can call us whatever you want I guess." He said with a shrug. "But to me, I'm Luke, and this is Bree."
Bree let out a tiny bark at that moment, almost as if agreeing with Luke.
And Luke had to agree with one thing, the pup did like him, quite a lot it seemed.
